The CRM prevents your contacts from being duplicated, achieving a clean and enriched database.
We often have contacts stored in different places virtually. From our booking engine, PMS, and even from social media or marketing and engagement campaigns.
When it comes to importing all the contacts, we want to make sure we collect them all, but we don't want to have the same person duplicated.
To avoid this, the CRM uses the email as a unique user ID. So, if a contact is on a social media contest marketing list, their previous booking data is in your PMS, their future booking is currently in your booking engine and you import information from each source, via email (User ID), the CRM will recognize that contact as the same person and add data to their customer profile, but never duplicate it.
By linking the user ID to the email, all the information in that user ID will be enriched.
This is why it is very important to have a 'user email' column in the document you are importing at the beginning so that you can later identify that user and enrich it.
