In this guide, we'll walk you through creating a workflow for Abandoned Cart Remarketing, which involves sending emails and ads.
Step 1. Create a new workflow.
Step 2. Choose "Add a Trigger" to select a saved segment or create a new one.
Step 3. When creating a new segment, be sure to pick the correct details. Use Pixel Tracking to track when users reach one step before purchasing. (e.g. Step 2).
Note: The specific fields of the segment may vary depending on your Google Tag Manager account setup and step names.
Step 4. Save the Segmentation
Step 5. Add a "Wait Time" action. Type the amount of days you want to wait, in this case we will select 1 day, and click Save.
Step 6. Add an "IF/Else" action to check if a reservation was made. Use the Pixel Tracking information for the segment.
Step 7. If a reservation was made, finish the workflow.
Step 8. If no, send an email to encourage completing the purchase, using the action "Send message"
Step 9. If needed, add a waiting period and send another email to users who haven't booked. Repeat steps 6 to 8 as necessary.
Step 10. Once you're done, add the Finish option.
Step 11. Once your workflow is set, click Save.
Step 12. Name your workflow, adjust settings, and save it.
