Transactional emails allow us to send emails through an API call. Yes, that's right, you don't need to create a campaign, automation, or workflow to send an email. As long as your system sends us the correct API call, we can automatically send an email based on your preferences.
These are the basic steps to configure it:
Step 1. Go to Campaigns Manager and click Transactional
Step 2. Click Create Transactional
Step 3. Complete the basic steps
Step 4. Select Email as the channel.
Step 5. You will be able to select from a list of predefined Event Types. If you want to use another type of event, select Custom.
Note: You need to write the exact name of the event you are going to use for the API call, otherwise this will not work.
Step 6. Create the message like a normal campaign and select the right template
Step 7. Schedule the campaign for now (this is the only option available, however, this does not mean that the campaign will be delivered now, it will be delivered when the API call is made).
Step 8. Click on our Review and Send option and once you have verified that the campaign name, event type and template are correct, click on Start Transactional.
