When uploading contact lists, we recommend to:
- Separate the Guest Name into two columns, one for the first name and one for the last name.
- If your list has capital letters only, please change them.
To remove all capital letters from your Excel contact list and split the name into distinct columns:
Step 1: Click on an empty cell and type the function = PROPER(cell number of the first name and last name).
Step 2: Copy the function for the rest of your contact list.
a. To do this, click on the blue square at the bottom right of the cell and drag it down (Shortcuts depend on your device/version of Excel or Sheets).
Step 3: Split into separate columns: First Name(s) and Last Name(s).
b.Double-click on the column containing the data to select it.
c. Click on Data > Split text into columns.
d. Click the drop-down menu and select which element you want to choose to proceed with the separation.
e. Click on the desired one and both columns will be created.
Note: You cannot delete the original column, or the new well-written fields will be deleted. You can copy and paste only the relevant columns or copy the entire Sheet and then Skip Column to not import (in this example) Column A from Sheet 1.
