How do I define a domain name for my PUSHTech account?

  • Created: julio 5, 2017

When defining and creating your email domain, which in fact is a sub-domain of your existing company domain, we recommend the following names for your PUSHTech account:

  • mail.mycompany.com

If your business is already using this same domain name, then we recommend using:

  • mail2.mycompany.com

Sometimes, it is a good idea to separate the domains for the type of messages you are sending. For example, using a different domains or subdomains for marketing mailings and transactional in order to keep the reputations separate.

  • mail.mycompany.com for transactional emails
  • mail2.mycompany.com for marketing emails

Once you have defined which domain name you are going to use, go to your PUSHTech account settings and click on «Add domain».

Enter your domain name in the text box:

Last step, we require you to configure some records at your DNS provider so we can verify you own this domain. We provide you with those records and instructions in your account settings. Use this step by step guide to configure and verify your DNS.

Finally, if you want multiple addresses and you want to direct certain emails to certain IP addresses, you will need to have a unique domain or subdomain for each IP address. In this situation please contact us at support@pushtech.com
